Choose from eight exterior colours and four different wheel styles, while the off-road oriented PRO-4X receives skid plates and unique Gun Metallic-painted front and rear bumpers, along with PRO-4X decals.Up to five or six passengers can be seated inside the 2016 Nissan Titan XD, which is available only in crew cab form. The difference comes from whether or not you need the large centre console, which switches out the front bench seat for two captain's chairs. No matter what layout you choose, seating is spacious and comfortable. The NASA-inspired Zero Gravity Seats help to reduce fatigue, while every seat offers over 1000 millimeters of head room. Even in the rear, legroom is generous, with 978 millimeters. A number of upholstery choices are available, including unique PRO-4X embroidered seats and premium leather seats, while trim comes with durable plastics, metallic trim, and available premium open-pore wood-tone trim. Front seats come in either heated or heated and ventilated versions, while rear seats can also be heated, so everyone can be comfortable in the cold winter months. Nissan's powerful NissanConnect system with Mobile Apps is featured on every model, providing aid and convenience through integration with compatible smartphones. The more-powerful NissanConnect with Navigation features a 7-inch touch screen monitor, along with voice recognition for audio and navigation and Siri Eyes Free connectivity. Whether you opt for the standard AM/CD/CD audio system or the 12-speaker Rockford Fosgate-powered audio system, your Titan XD features a USB connection port for iPod or smartphone interface, as well as available SiriusXM satellite radio.
Gutsy and Capable
Underneath the light-duty truck shape and the comfortable interior is a frame and a choice of powertrains that would be at home in a heavy-duty truck. The 2016 Nissan Titan XD offers a choice of two engines, gasoline or diesel, along with a pair of automatic transmissions that correspond with each engine - a 7-speed HG automatic with the gasoline and a 6-speed AISIN automatic with the diesel engine. Select from rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive, which is controlled by a switch-operated two-speed transfer case. When properly equipped with the available tow package, the XD can haul up to 1,143 kilograms of payload and tow up to 5,460 kilograms, well above what any light-duty pick-up can handle. For off-roading, the PRO-4X receives upgraded Bilstein off-road performance shocks, off-road tires, and an electronic locking rear differential.
